NO card is future proof though a 3070 is on par or a little better than a 2080ti which was the beast card of last gen so the 3070 will keep you gaming for quite a while but its not future proof.
As far as running games acceptably at typical laptop resolution (which again, is 1080p) an RTX 3080 laptop will probably last you a good 6–7 years. However, an RTX 3060 laptop will likely last you 5–6 years.
