IT DEPENDS UPON YOUR GRAPHIC CARD AND YOUR PROCESSOR. 16 GB RAM IS ENOUGH OR I SHOULD SAY IT IS PLENTY TO PLAY GTA 5 ON A LAPTOP WITH 16 GB RAM YOU MUST HAVE AN I5 CORE PROCESSOR AND GRAPHIC CARD. , 5+ years messing with computers and 2+ of actually fixing them. It depends more on the graphics card than the ram.
