How do I get my computer to recognize my headset?

Set your headphone as the default playback device

1. Right-click on the Start button. …
2. Click Hardware and Sound. …
3. Look for the Playback tab, and then under it, right-click the window and select Show Disabled Devices.
4. Headphones are listed there, so right-click on your headphone deice and select Enable.
5. Click Set as Default.
