How do I get a valid IP address for my Ethernet?

Go to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Network Connections >> Local Area Connections >> Properties. Now, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). In the next step, click on Properties. Finally, select “Obtain IP Address” and the DNS address will be obtained automatically.
