You can’t directly ping a cellphone number unless you have access to the carrier’s system, which means it’s limited to the carrier and – within limits – law enforcement. The civilian equivalent is installing a phone-tracker app that reports the phone’s location to whoever installs and administers the app.

WhatsApp has updated its app allowing users to tag others in group chats simply by typing the @ symbol and their name. All users can be tagged, as long as they’re part of the same group chat. And that’s whether they are in someone’s address book or not.

You can use the Galarm app’s (www.galarmapp.com) Buddy Alarm feature. Because it is an app that works across both Android and iPhone, you can include other participants in your alarms across both of these device types.
Just set an alarm and share.. All the other person has to do is ‘accept’ the request and done.. The alarm / reminder is set in their phone just like saving a shared contact..
