If you are hovering around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius, some would say that it is generally safe. While it is a little bit safe, it is already near the danger levels of overheating as going close to 90 degrees while gaming can get your CPU damaged over time. … . . . Read more
AMD’s absolute temp maximum is 90 C up to 1000 MHz and 95 C over that. Anyone even close to these temps is one step away from a toasted CPU.
The best Ryzen 5 5600X CPU cooler It highly depends on what you’re looking for. … The included Wraith Stealth cooler is solid, but it’s not going to get you the temps and performance you could see from a cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 or, for liquid cooling, . . . Read more
So yes, 5600X is a mid-range processor with 65W of TDP, which will increase to almost 50% when PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) is turned on. This heat needs to be taken care of for optimal CPU performance and longevity. A cooler like Noctua NH-D15 is well suited for 5600X and . . . Read more
No, not really. With a TDP of only 65 Watts, an air cooled system is just fine. Of coure, a water cooler looks nicer, but speaking from a technical position an air cooler is more reliable and often easier to install.
Contributing Writer. I am assuming you mean with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600x? You do not ‘need’ a liquid cooler for that, but if you do, ensure it is at least a 240mm or larger AIO. There isn’t any sense in getting a single 120mm or 140mm AIO, and if . . . Read more
AMD Ryzen 5 processors are generally slightly less powerful than i5 processors. They have a clock speed of up to 4.4GHz, compared to the 4.6GHz of the i5. But they do have twice as many threads. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 also stands out thanks to a very low power . . . Read more
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G While it can’t compete with many discrete GPUs, it should be plenty for light gaming. Better still, the 5600G is AMD FSR compatible, which means you can easily boost fps in supported titles. It’s no slouch of a CPU either, with all the performance of a . . . Read more
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Review Leak: $200 CPU Beats $350 Intel Core i7-7700K. … Even more impressive is the Cinebench R15 rendering test, where the AMD CPU’s score of 1,123 is not just faster than the stock speed Core i7-7700K, but it actually beat it when the Intel CPU was . . . Read more
All Ryzen mainstream desktop CPUs and APUs use the same AM4 socket, but Threadripper uses different one which is TR4 (1st and 2nd generation) and TRX40 (3rd generation), Laptop Ryzen on the other hand uses FP5 socket (which is BGA, so officially non-replacable).
