Can you update modded Xbox 360?

Modifying your Xbox 360 is strictly prohibited by the Xbox Live Terms of Use. In order to update your Xbox 360, you must do so when the updates are released. By doing so, the modded console is exposed to the Live service, which could result in a ban on the console.
