Why did my Chromebook go black?

Please check the following things as soon as you find your Chromebook screen black: Check whether the AC adapter is fully plugged into the charging port or not. Check whether the Chromebook is turned on by pressing the Power button. Check whether there’s an unnecessary external device connected to Chromebook.
