Is 1800X good for gaming?

Assuming this is for a gaming PC, it’s a well-balanced combination for AAA games at 1080p and 1440p. Next-gen games are expected to use more CPU cores, so having 8 cores will help in the long run, even if it doesn’t matter in most games that are out at the moment.
