Do USB-C hubs need power?

No, most usb c hub do not need external power, I did not see any hub need external power. Now the hub on market, some of them with battery, they even have charging port. I just tried a Alxum 12-in-1 Dual Monitor USB C Hub , actually I use them for extand my three different images screen, everything works well.
